In a country where medical care is not available to everyone, those who cannot pay for treatment are particularly disadvantaged. There is a health insurance system in Ghana, but many cannot afford it, least of all the farming families in Akim Ayirebi. The CHA Elim Medical Centre would like to help everyone, but faces the same challenge as all other clinics: staff costs money, as do medicines and supplies. It would cost just the equivalent of €5 to pay for a child's annual insurance premium.

Our goal is to pay the annual premium for the National Health Insurance Card for at least 2,000 children in the area. We can only achieve this if many people join in. But for each individual child... it's worth it.
